Description
The SOLiD SC_MCDU is the Main Combiner Divider Unit used in the ALLIANCE BTS Interface Unit (BIU) within SOLiD’s multi-operator Distributed Antenna System (DAS). The SC_MCDU combines downlink RF signals received from multiple MDBU modules and auxiliary VHF/UHF inputs, then splits and distributes them to the Optic Distribution Units (ODUs). It also handles uplink signal routing from ODUs back to the MDBUs. As a passive RF component integrated in the BIU chassis, the SC_MCDU plays a key role in maintaining optimal signal integrity across multiple frequency bands in high-capacity DAS environments.
This module supports both forward and reverse RF paths and enables seamless service expansion by allowing additional operator signals to be integrated without significant architectural changes. Engineered for reliability, the SC_MCDU contributes to balanced, low-loss signal delivery in mission-critical public safety and commercial wireless systems.
