The SOLiD ALLIANCE MCDU Main Combiner Divider Unit is an RF signal combining and distribution module used within the SOLiD ALLIANCE Multi-Operator Distributed Antenna System (DAS). Installed as part of the BTS Interface Unit (BIU), the MCDU combines downlink signals received from Main Drive BTS Units (MDBUs) and VHF/UHF signal ports, then splits those signals for delivery to Optic Distribution Units (ODUs).
For the uplink path, the MCDU combines signals received from ODUs and divides them for delivery to the appropriate MDBUs. This makes the MCDU an important RF routing component in SOLiD ALLIANCE neutral host DAS deployments used in enterprise, healthcare, transportation, stadium, campus, commercial, and public venue wireless coverage systems.
