The Corning WB-B4U MobileAccess Wideband Base Unit is a headend RF to optical conversion platform designed for Corning MobileAccess distributed antenna system (DAS) deployments. Installed between the Radio Interface Unit (RIU) or passive BTS interface and the remote-end equipment, the WB-B4U converts RF signals into optical signals for transport over fiber optic infrastructure.
This 4 port base unit supports up to four optical connections to remote modules and is used in enterprise, commercial, healthcare, transportation, campus, and public venue wireless coverage systems. It supports centralized monitoring and management through the Corning MobileAccess management system, dry contact alarm support, and local optical link status indicators.
